WHAT IS QUANTITATIVE FACE FIT TESTING?
Quantitative Face Fit Testing is a scientific way to check how well a respirator seals against the skin. It uses an ambient particle counter to measure air particles inside and outside the mask. The results, called “Fit Factors,” show how effectively the mask protects the wearer from harmful airborne particles and workplace hazards. For more details or to contact our team; we’re always here to help.

HOW THE AMBIENT PARTICLE COUNTER WORKS
An ambient particle counter counts the tiny particles in the surrounding air and compares them with any particles that pass through the mask’s seal. This method produces accurate, real-time results, showing exactly how well the respirator fits. It’s the most reliable way to confirm your mask is working correctly and keeping you safe.
TESTING DIFFERENT TYPES OF RESPIRATORS
At RPE2Fit Ltd in Glasgow, we test all types of tight-fitting Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE). This includes disposable respirators (FFP1, FFP2, FFP3), half masks, and full-face respirators. We recommend bringing all head-worn PPE, such as safety goggles, ear defenders, or hard hats, to ensure accurate results and proper compatibility during testing. We also provide qualitative face fit testing for situations where a simpler method is suitable.
